Loving Fall

Fall is definitely here!  My kids are having a blast playing in the fall leaves!

I am so thankful for my children.  Even though I have strep throat,  they keep me laughing through it!  Halloween is a few short days away!  I can't wait to go trick or treating with all 4 kiddos!  I finished getting costumes today.  Emily and Christian have had theirs for a while, but with me being sick.. I had to wait a bit to finish up.  Gabe is going to be Darth Vader and Ever is a flower fairy.  :)  I can't wait to get back on the field for their games.  Emily's was cancelled Friday because the other team didn't have enough players.  It turned out to be a good thing because I was stuck in the hospital.  I'm so ready to be over all of this and feel good again!  I'm going to head back outside to enjoy this beautiful weather with my family!

Yay for productiveness!

I've been soooo sick the past few days, but today I actually got a lot of things done.  Finally got the house back in order and even did some Christmas shopping.  I drug my sick self out to Target to get the medicine I needed, and also to pick up a Christmas present for Emily that she's been asking for.  Of course once I got there.. I found things for the other kids too!  I set myself a $200 limit and I ended up checking out at $202.14!!  I'm super proud of myself.  :)  (My Target Red Card also saved me 5%!!!  Yayy!!)

Friday night

Friday night was a fun one for the kids.  Christian's coach picked him up in the afternoon and took him to his house to play with his son.  Then they went to the MV football game.  Christian had sooo much fun with his friends!  He came home with a mega phone, a football, and orange hair!!!  :))

Miss Lou and I stayed home with Ian and ate chili for supper.. we also enjoyed a glass of "Christmas Milk"  (egg nog).

It was a really good Friday!  I'm so glad Christian is making friends and doing things with them.  They're both getting so big so fast!

End to a very long week

My baby has been sick all week.  She woke us up Sunday night crying with a temp of 103!  We took her to the doctor on Monday to find out that she had an ear infection.  She seemed to be getting worse instead of better so I took her back to the doctor yesterday and she has a virus.  Poor thing, I've never seen her so sick.  She seems to be feeling a little better today thank goodness.

My poor sick baby.  :(

Since Ever has been so sick, Christian's coach has been taking him to practice and games this week.  It has been super nice of them to do that for us!  Last night, Christian was going to spend the night with them and their son.  When they came by to get clothes, he was so excited!  His first sleepover!  However, about 9:00 she called us and said "He's crying and said he misses his daddy and Ashley".  :(  We went and picked him up.. poor thing.  Instead, he is going to go over there about 2:00 and play for a while.  We decided on baby steps.  Haha.

We have been working really hard on our house too!  We've been doing a lot of painting.  Hopefully, within the next few weeks, it'll all be finished.  We got one side done and the rest pressure washed and ready to go.

I also got this really pretty fall wreath for our door!  I can't wait to go get Christmas ones!!

I'm so ready for Christmas!

Christmas is going to be so great this year.  We have been buying presents since May and I am going crazy making myself wait until Christmas Day for the kids to see them!  It isn't just about the presents though.  This year will be our first year starting our new traditions.  We have a whole notebook full of things we will be doing!  Ian and I have been all over the internet finding really cute and fun Christmas ideas and we have talked and talked and talked about it!  Ever is finally getting old enough to enjoy it too!!  I'm so excited!!!  We went out to the shed yesterday and pulled out all of the Christmas decorations to see what we had and what we are going to need.  Don't get me wrong.. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving too, but nothing compares to Christmas with my little family!  My floor is covered in Christmas presents right now because I was looking to see what all I have at the moment.  Haha.. I need to get back to organizing and putting it away!

Halloween is coming!

Halloween is getting closer and closer and we are all excited!  I love seeing those notes in their book bags asking for pumpkins and candy!!  We have been working extra hard on our treat bags this year for class parties.  I think we did a pretty good job!

This is Christian's.  The "bolts" are glittery and the top part staples on.  So cute!

This is Emily's.  Hers are covered in glitter too, you just can't see it that well with my camera.

Lots of yummy candy in there.. and what goody bag would be complete without vampire teeth?  :)

Now we only have to make a bunch more!  It's fun for us though so we're looking forward to it!

Weekend came and went again

This weekend was really nice, because Ian got to spend most of it with us.  Ian works really hard and him getting a day off is rare.. two is just amazing.  Saturday, we took the kids to ride some rides and had some yummy carnival food.

Can you believe I paid $4 for Christian to go down this slide ONCE??  Sheesh.

Sunday night, we went to Nanny Gina's and had supper.  It was yummy as usual and the kids got hair cuts.

Pictures and games

My calendar is so full!  We have so many things going on this month.    See, being a SAHM is just like being a big executive at a huge company.. it's just instead of meetings, I have Doctors, Dentists, MDO, Football, Cheer leading, things at school, etc.

This is a picture of my calendar and it's just the beginning of the month!  I'm sure more will be added!

Yesterday, Emily had cheer leading pictures and Christian had a game.  The pictures went really well.  Emily's hair bow was awesome.

This was taken after pictures, while we were watching Christian play.  It was a really good night.  I can't wait until this weekend so we can start getting other things done.

Mother's Day Out

Ever started MDO yesterday.  She is going to the same place Gabe used to go when he was younger.  Right now, she is only going 2 days a week from 9-1.  I don't think I could have her away from me any longer than that!  I signed her up because it's at a really good church and I trust them completely.  I also want her to be able to play with children her age and learn to share and all the other wonderful values a good MDO program can teach her.  I miss her so much when she's there and it feels so quiet and lonely with her gone for just those 4 hours!  But I know it is good for her and will help her grow and will bring positive results.

Here are some pictures I took on her first day:

All of my babies are just growing up way too fast!  :((

Lots of playing and the movies

Yesterday was such a good day.  We were in the yard for most of the morning.  The weather was cool and the kids had so much fun.  So much has been accomplished these past few days.. the house is cleaned and ready for the school week among other things that needed to be done, so being able to play with the kids and have some fun was much needed!  Ian even took the day off so we could all be together.

We finished off the day by going to the movies to see Hotel Transylvania.  It was a really cute movie.  Even Ian and I were laughing most of the time.  I'm glad we were able to take the kids to see it.

What a fun day!  We are definitely going to try to make days like this happen more often!
